IMPORTS & CONNECTIONS
Keep what you already know.
Bring useful data into Workloop and keep using familiar tools. Here is what each connection does, and what you stay in control of.
01One-time import
Client spreadsheets
Export your client list from Excel, Google Sheets or another app as a CSV file. In Workloop, open Settings → Import data → Client files, choose the file and match the name, phone and email columns. Review the preview and keep duplicate checks on before importing.
Export only the clients you want to bring over. Changes in the original spreadsheet do not update Workloop automatically.
02You choose the people
Contacts on your phone
Open Settings → Import data → Device contacts. Give Workloop access when asked, select the people you want as clients, then review and confirm.
Apple, Google or Outlook contacts must already be available in your phone’s Contacts app. Workloop does not sign into those accounts or continually sync them.
03Import and export
Apple, Google and Outlook calendars
Make your calendar available in your phone’s calendar app. In Workloop, choose Settings → Import data → Calendar events to review selected events before creating bookings. Calendar tools also lets you save your bookings as an .ics file for another calendar app.
These are snapshots, not live two-way sync. Later edits and cancellations need to be made in each app. Review the dates, times and possible overlaps before importing.
04You send the message
WhatsApp
Open a booking and choose Send WhatsApp reminder. Workloop prepares the booking details for the customer’s number. Check the message in WhatsApp, then tap Send.
The customer needs a valid phone number. Opening WhatsApp does not mean the message has been sent or delivered.
05Business setup required
Stripe card payments
Use Get paid with Workloop in Money to connect your own business through Stripe and complete its verification. Eligible connected businesses can use Workloop’s payment collection flow.
Availability depends on your Stripe account, country and the app version. Stripe must enable payments for the business; bank transfers or payments outside Workloop are not automatically reconciled.
06Open the app you use
Maps and directions
Add an address to a booking, then open its directions action. Choose your preferred maps app in Workloop’s settings.
Directions open outside Workloop. The maps app needs to be installed and the booking needs a usable address.
07Import text files
Tasks and notes
In Settings → Import data, choose Task list for a text file with one task per line, or Notes files for plain-text and Markdown notes.
Export a supported file from your existing app first. Workloop cannot read another app’s private storage directly.
